Coastal Environmental Systems, is a USA based designer and  manufacturer of professional-grade remote environmental monitoring equipment, also known as remote data acquisition systems (DAS). The systems have been extensively deployed worldwide, many in extreme and demanding environments such as Antarctica, or on board combat-class, U.S. Navy vessels. 

The  products range is  divided within four main categories:

Weather Stations, Aviation, HazMat and Defense Meteorology, which of are used as remote environmental monitoring systems used in fields such as the following: Meteorology, Agriculture, Forestry, Hydrology, Hazardous Materials Response, Civil Aviation, Military Aviation, Military-Naval, Military-Defense Meteorology, and Military-Weapons of Mass Destruction.

WEATHERPAK Stations

The WEATHERPAK®'s unique self-contained one piece design installs in seconds and makes it the most easy-to-use weather station available. 

The WEATHERPAK® is suited for industrial and scientific sites where ease of installation, corrosive resistance, and very low maintenance are primary requirements. For example, the marine industry uses the WEATHERPAK® where saltwater causes other systems to fail. Scientists are using the WEATHERPAK® at the North and South poles because it is one of the few stations that can survive the hostile climate. 

ASICON has delivered a number of these stations in Cambodia for site surveying before Wind Power Turbine electrical generators are installed (read more).

AVIATION Stations

Coastal’s Fixed Base Systems measure and report weather for permanent airfields. The Fixed Base System supports CAT I, CAT II or CAT III airfields.

The portable aviation weather station is built around the WEATHERPAK® 2000. It is a single-piece instrument that contains all the basic meteorological parameters and is self-aligning to TRUE North - it's one piece design installs in seconds and makes it the most easy-to-use weather station available. 

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS Stations

Coastal’s HazMat weather stations perform two vital jobs: respond and monitor. 

They help professionals respond to incidents involving hazardous materials, and they monitor areas where hazardous materials are present under controlled circumstances.
